Homelessness

Documentary photographer Sarah Manriquez learned about the Through Our Eyes Project after finding its website while researching homeless photography. Sarah had been working with a local friend dealing with homelessness and created a powerful series of images of her friend's life. The Through Our Eyes Project was a terrific compliment to the work Sarah was doing. When the exhibition in Fairbanks opened, the temperatures outside were -10F and it was shocking to learn of the numbers of homeless who were still choosing to live outside.
